We are now fully booked for this Summer Experience.
The Young International Development Expert Summer Experience gives students aged 15-18 a fully-immersive experience of working in international development in London.
Over the course of 15 days, students will have some of the most exclusive experiences of development that one can imagine: represent the UN Security Council in conflict resolution at a leading UK policy department, design your own advocacy campaign for a world-renowned NGO and pitching a sustainable business model to a multinational company.

- Represent the UN Security Council and resolve an urgent conflict scenario at a leading policy department
- Visit a world-renowned NGO and design your own advocacy campaign
- Enter the board room and pitch a sustainable business model to the executive team of a multinational company
- Visit world-leading sustainable engineering sites and learn the importance of sustainable design in helping prevent climate disaster
- Explore the role of the scientist and consultant as you race against the clock to mitigate national climate damage
- Attend a private reception with top international development experts

- days 1-15 (the full experience); or
- days 1-10 only; or
- days 1-5 only

This Summer Experience is for students aged 15-18 and you do not require any prior knowledge to attend.
The programme starts on 28th July 2023. You can choose to attend for either days 1-5, days 1-10 or days 1-15; and either with or without accommodation. Pricing for all options is set out below.

- The programme is based at UCL and the surrounding University of London campus. Certain days take place in other key industry locations in London.
Accommodation location:
Students who choose accommodation will reside in University of London halls of residence. We occupy 3 different halls close-by to each other (listed below). The vast majority of students will be placed in Garden Halls

Covid-19
There are no travel restrictions in place in order to enter the UK; you are not required to test or to provide proof of vaccination status, so you can book your programme place with confidence.
