InvestIN is delighted to introduce our in-school careers provision, designed to enhance industry exploration and skill development for your students. Whether you’re looking for year-round careers support for students or a targeted employability skills workshop, we have options tailored to meet your school’s needs.
The Full Curriculum
Our comprehensive careers curriculum is made up of three components, delivered by InvestIN both online and in-person across one or two academic terms. Delivery can be bespoke and adapted to each school's setting, timetable and facilities.
Skills Modules
Students complete three modules, either online or in-school, targeting employability skills development.
Weekend Programme
Students choose from one of 15 industries and attend a weekend programme, delivered by industry professionals.
One-Day Workshops
Students put everything they've learnt to the test in a full-day, in-person workshop delivered by InvestIN.
Our career experts have carefully researched and curated a menu of modules that target skill development. All our workshops are designed to be interactive and engaging. Students will then have the opportunity to choose one of our weekend masterclasses, available in 15 different industries. From medicine to entrepreneurship, architecture to fashion design, we encourage students to explore their chosen career first-hand, gaining advice from industry professionals and guidance for their next steps.

This is a flexible offering, created to suit your needs and timetable. We can offer a full day, or half day and can work proactively around the space you are able to provide.
One-Day Workshops

Industry Insights
Students will explore 5 competitive career paths: Business & Finance, Law & Politics, Creatives, Medical Sciences, and Engineering & Computer Science.
Recruitment Ready
Students will explore CV-writing, interview preparation, networking & LinkedIn and performing on work experience.
Assessment Centre
Students will be immersed in a simulated assessment centre typical of graduate recruitment today, practising in-tray exercises, group tasks, interviews, pitching & presentations.
This workshop offers an exploration of 5 of the most competitive industries. Students will get a taster of each career, with an introduction to the field, hands-on activities and advice on what to explore next.
- Business & Finance: understand the Trading Floor through a simulated game & get a feel for being an Entrepreneur through a business pitch activity.
- Medical Sciences: explore the different medical avenues & learn how to diagnose and treat patients through a ward round role play.
- Creative Industries: understand roles available in the film, fashion and art industries & put skills into action by creating a film scene from scratch.
- Law & Politics: assume the role of a lawyer by participating in a debate & explore the everyday implications of politics by discussing a recent events case study.
- Engineering & Computer Science: explore fundamental engineering concepts through a bridge-building challenge & understand technology of the future with an AI task.
This workshop equips students with the tools and understanding they need to excel in all stages of the recruitment process, with a focus on building professionalism and offering support on CVs, interviews and networking effectively.
- Bucket CV: evaluate exemplar CVs, understand the importance of tailoring the application to different roles & draft their own bucket CV.
- Practicing Professionalism: understand the differences between school and the workplace & learn what constitutes good communication etiquette.
- Interview Preparation: explore how to prepare, impress in the room with standout answers & put this new knowledge into action with peer interviews.
- Networking and LinkedIn: understand the importance of networking, learn how to master an Elevator Pitch & draft a stellar LinkedIn profile.
- Work Experience Simulation: put everything learnt into practice through a step-by-step simulation of a chosen work experience placement.
This workshop prepares students for the increasingly popular recruitment stage used by employers. Students will put their skills to the test through a range of activities they would see in a real-world Assessment Centre and will receive personalised feedback after the session.
- Psychometric Testing: Undergo a series of psychometric tests & a personality insights quiz to identify how students can work at their best.
- In-Tray Exercises: understand the concept of these tasks, how to perform them effectively & put it into practice through a beginning-to-end simulation
Interview Workshop: explore interview top tips & put impactful answers into action with peer interviews and feedback. - Group Task: explore how to collaborate effectively within a team & put this to the test by designing an eco-friendly business that meets a given criteria.
Pitching Practice: present back the finished product of the group task to assessors and peers & answer questions under pressure.
