The Young Artist Weekend gives students aged 15-18 an immersive experience of a career as an artist. You will take part in a series of interactive simulations, seminars, case studies and Q&A sessions with established artists, art school lecturers, curators and art agents. 

Attendance will give you an edge over other aspiring artists in the race for the best jobs and a ‘super-curricular’ experience to add to your UCAS application.


An Immersive Experience of the World of an Artist:

  • Art experts will coach you through live, interactive simulations, including:

  • Mastering your medium, style and technique
  • Pitching your artwork to the experts
  • Writing a compelling artist bio and statement
  • Planning and curating an exhibition 

    Career Coaching for Young Artists:

    • You will be trained on how to fulfil your career ambitions as an artist

    • An action plan of how to establish yourself as an artist, starting now

    • Coaching by experts on study choices; work experience; internships; gaining exposure and networking in the industry 

    An Audience With Experts in the Art World:

    • Q&A time with a panel of artists, art school lecturers, curators, agents and more

    Boost Your UCAS Form and CV:

    • Attendance demonstrates you’ve gained key skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, creativity, communication, presentation and commercial awareness

    Fees, Eligibility and Options

    This programme is for students aged 15-18. No prior knowledge or experience is required. The programme involves a mixture of interactive simulations, exercises and Q&A sessions.
