Programme Arrival & Departure Times
Non-residential students should arrive at UCL at between 10am and 10:30am on the first day of their experience for an 11am start. Their first day will finish at 5pm. Each day the Summer Experiences will run from 11am-5pm, unless the students are on an excursion that requires coach travel. These days will be indicated on the students timetable. Please note, students will be required to register each morning of their summer experience, and so should aim to arrive 30 minutes before the Summer Experience start time.

We ask that students are dropped off and collected by a parent, guardian or named adult on their first day. For the rest of the Experience, most students on our Future programme are dropped off and collected by a parent or guardian each day. However, we understand that some parents are comfortable with their students arriving and departing independently. If that is the case, please complete the consent form on Reach so we know your student is able to arrive and depart independently. This will be available in April.

Safeguarding Policy
InvestIN treats safeguarding our students very seriously. Please see our full Safeguarding Policy here.
Download docsendWhat to Bring
Whilst there is no strict dress code, we encourage our students to dress professionally during course hours. Outside of course hours, students can dress casually. Students will need to bring a laptop or tablet with them for their programme. As our Summer Experiences are run during British summer, the weather can be unpredictable. We would strongly advise students pack clothing suitable for both warm and cool (including wet!) weather. Please see a full packing list here.
Download docsendReach Guidelines
During the Summer Experience we use a platform called Reach Boarding. This allows us to register students and manage other important things. Students, parents/legal guardians will be given access to Reach. Please look out for an email inviting you to register and then do so. A handy guide on how to use Reach is available here.

We take pictures and videos of our Summer Experiences to celebrate the students' experiences, and these images sometimes get used on our website or other InvestIN platforms. We completely understand that not everyone is comfortable with being photographed so as part of your enrolment process you will have been given the opportunity to opt in or out of having your student’s photo taken. Frequently asked questions
You will be able to find out the location and timings on your agenda. Please click the link above in the timetable section of the page.
There is no official dress code. We encourage students to dress smart casually for their programmes, essentially no tracksuits. There will be days on certain programmes where students will need clothes they don’t mind getting messy; if this applies to you, you will be told in advance.
Groups are allocated by the programme chosen; we cannot guarantee any specific friendship groups being put together.
We ask that students are dropped off and picked up by a parent, guardian or named adult, from the programme. For students who are staying in the accommodation with us, we ask that you let us know how and when you are arriving and departing at least 3 weeks before the start of your experience.
Students who stay in the accommodation are escorted to and from their programme venues every day by their PALs
For non-residential students, we ask that they bring a packed lunch from home each day. No students will be permitted to leave the programme venue unsupervised at any time. During the lunch hour, the students will be supervised by programme staff either in communal space at the programme venue, or in a nearby park.
For students who stay in the accommodation, please let your PAL know as soon as possible that you aren’t feeling well and are unable to attend the day. For non-residential students, please email info@investin.org as soon as possible. If it’s a planned absence, please log a Leave Request on Reach for approval by the InvestIN team at least 48hours in advance.
We understand that sometimes you are delayed on your way to your programme due to transport issues. We ask that you get in contact with us at info@investin.org as soon as possible.
There is no pre-reading or prior knowledge expected before attending your Summer Experience. We just ask that you have a genuine interest and enthusiasm for your chosen programme!
Residential students will get 3 meals a day. Breakfast and dinner are served canteen style with a mixture of hot and cold options. We provide packed lunches for those students to have a lunch on the go.
We do not provide food to non-residential students.
InvestIN is not a school and therefore does not hold the same rules regarding the use of mobile devices on-site. InvestIN allows students to have possession of their own devices throughout their time with InvestIN. However, InvestIN are very clear with students about when it is and is not appropriate to be using their mobile phones during the education programmes and activities. Unless advised otherwise, students are required to store their phones and pay attention to the speaker and programme content.
Students who are attending a 1 week experience will get a digital certificate shortly after their programme. Students on the 2 week experience will receive their physical certificate at the graduation ceremony on the final day and industry reference letters will be sent out in September.
