The Young Doctor Programme Manchester, taking place on 1st December is full. You can now book for our next identical programme, taking place on 29th March 2020.

On the Young Doctor Programme, a group of high-ranking doctors will immerse you in a series of interactive role-plays, simulations, seminars, and Q&A sessions, to give you a 360-degree experience of practising medicine. You will also be coached on how to maximise your chances of gaining entry into a top medical school.  You will leave the programme having gained a competitive advantage over other aspiring medics, and a brilliant experience to include on your UCAS application.

A 360-Degree Experience of Medicine:

  • Experienced doctors will coach you through live, interactive simulations, including:
  • Stitching up a wound (suturing), with a live demonstration by a senior surgeon
  • Using the latest Virtual Reality technology to immerse you in an A&E environment where you need to race against the clock to treat patients
  • X-ray examination; taking a patient's medical history; recommending urgent tests

  • Coaching by doctors on how to excel at every stage of the medical school admissions process

    This programme is for students aged 15-18 who have the passion and ambition to both learn about this career, and start boosting their UCAS/college applications & CVs. If you are a student who is slightly older or younger than our guidelines, then please do get in touch with us to discuss your specific situation.

    There is no application process, and you can secure your place simply by clicking “Register Now”. We operate on a first-come first-served basis and programme places are limited; we are usually full a couple of months in advance of the programme date. No prior knowledge or experience is required to join this programme as we build your knowledge from the basics up to more advanced concepts.
