Internship Overview

The Young Artist Programme gives students aged 15-18 an immersive experience of a career as an artist. You will take part in a series of interactive simulations, seminars, case studies and Q&A sessions with established artists, art school lecturers, curators and art agents.

The programme includes an opportunity for you to receive personalised coaching on your unique artistic response to a theme, pitching your artwork to a team of experts, building an effective marketing campaign and curating your own exhibition.

The programme takes place over two days: Saturday is dedicated to creative development and Sunday is dedicated to a career in art. You can choose to attend either one or both days.

There is also an optional third day: “Enhanced Career Coaching”, where recruitment experts will give you an experience of each stage of the process top firms use to recruit young artists and help you create a personalised development plan – analysing your strengths and weaknesses – to maximise your chances of becoming a successful candidate.

Attendance will give you an edge over other aspiring artists in the race for the best jobs and a ‘super-curricular’ experience to add to your UCAS application.
