Internship Overview

The Young Filmmaker Programme takes students aged 15-18 on an immersive exploration through the world of filmmaking. You will take part in a series of interactive simulations, seminars and Q&A sessions with directors, producers, editors, scriptwriters, technicians and more.

The programme includes an opportunity for you to edit your own film scene, learn how to bring a raw script to a film-set, and film your own footage.

The programme takes place over two days – Saturday dedicated to 'Production' and Sunday to 'Post-Production'. You can choose to attend either one or both days.

There is also an optional third day: “Enhanced Career Coaching”, where recruitment experts will give you an experience of each stage of the process top firms use to recruit young filmmakers and help you create a personalised development plan – analysing your strengths and weaknesses – to maximise your chances of becoming a successful candidate.

Attendance will give you an edge over other aspiring filmmakers in the race for the best jobs and a ‘super-curricular’ experience to add to your UCAS application.
